Solar panel installation in Los Angeles, permit to switch-on
All-black panels sized from a year of your bills and set low and flush on your roof. The permit and the utility's paperwork are ours, from the roof check to switch-on.
About an hour at your house, on a day you pick. Your price comes inside your plan.
What we handle for you
- We pull the permit and book inspections.
- We deal with LADWP or Edison for you.
- We call you back the same business day.
The panels take 1 or 2 days on your roof. The wait around those days belongs to the city's permit office and to your utility. One project manager handles both and texts you each time a step is done.
Signs solar fits your house
- Your bill climbs in the months the AC runs, or stays high all year
- A slope of the roof gets open sky for most of the day, clear of tall trees and taller neighbors
- The roof has years left in it. If it doesn't, you hear that at the roof check, with the roof work priced in the same plan.
- You own the house
Your install, step by step
- Roof check. About an hour and free, on a day you pick within 7 days. We measure the roof and look at the tiles or shingles where each mount would sit. Then we go through your main panel and a year of your bills with you.
- Design and price. Within 3 business days of the roof check, the panels are drawn on your roof and your price is inside the plan. The contract comes with it, so you can read every page at your own table.
- Permit. We file within 2 business days of your signature. The city bills its permit fee to you directly, and your project manager gives you the figure before anything is filed. If the city asks for changes, we make them and file again, and you get a text the day it approves.
- Install day. The crew flashes every mount under the roofing and paints the conduit to match your stucco. All we need from you is someone to let us in that morning.
- Inspection. We ask for it the day we finish and meet the inspector at the house. If your main panel is indoors, we'll ask you to be home for that hour.
- Switch-on. Your utility's paperwork goes in the day the inspection passes, and we keep after it until the OK lands. Then we show you where to see what your panels made.
One person, start to finish
One project manager runs your job and texts you at every step.
- Callback
- The same business day you call or send your address.
- Updates
- A text each time a step is done, and a reply when you text in.
What the crew does on your kind of roof
Clay or concrete tile. Tiles come up where each mount goes. The mount is fixed into the rafter below and flashed, then the tile is set back over it.
Composition shingle. Each mount gets a flashing that slides under the course of shingles above it, so rain runs off over the joint.
A flat roof. The array usually sits on short stands, each one sealed into the roofing where it meets it.
A roof laid over an older one can change what the city asks for. We check for a second layer at the roof check and tell you before you sign.

Your price, inside your plan
Your project manager goes through the price with you, at your table or on the phone. Ways to pay are cash, a solar loan, a lease or a PPA, and your plan shows the ones open at your address.
After switch-on
You still text the same number. If a panel, inverter or rail we installed fails within 25 years, we replace it ourselves. Leaks at our mounts are covered for the same 25 years.
What people ask about installing solar
How long until the panels are running?
On the roof, 1 or 2 days. The permit review and your utility's final OK run on their own clocks, so we don't print a total. Your project manager tells you which one you're waiting on and when we last chased it.
Will my main panel need replacing?
Sometimes. We look at yours at the roof check, and if it can't take solar as it stands, the new one goes in the same plan.
Who needs to be home on install day?
Just someone to let us in that morning. The crew works on the roof and at the main panel, and you get a text when the install is done.
